Also, just picked up Lenda Murray's cousin Angela who is a popular radio jock soon to be tv anchor. She is visiting me in Japan. She is a really cool person. I'm glad I have the pleasure in being friends with her. Will, try to post some pics once I start to take her out sightseeing. She also brought me some of my favorite goodies: Masterpiece BBQ Sauce, pop tarts and yep cornbread! These items are not found in the Japanese supermarkets. I was soo happy to get the goodies!

In the Gold's Gym training legs today. Truth be told, I hardly train legs mostly upper body. When I do train legs I do high reps and moderate weight. My legs are genetically large so no need for heavy squats. If I do it will make me more unbalanced from top to bottom. My legs would be too huge for my upper body. I dont use rubber teeth guard. I like to keep it personal biting on my own towel so I dont crack my teeth.
TODAY, however, I tried a heavy leg press. Today's heaviest press and what u see in the pic is 260kg/572lbs

These were taken with a phone very quickly. In Japan its not allowed to take photos of yourself in the gym because other patrons are afraid they might be in the pictures. They are shy and scary. Check out the guy staring in amazement. I told him, get back to training! Well, I got this quick shot for you guys.

Aikido Hombu Dojo -Tokyo

Morihei Ueshiba, Founder of aikido. It is too deep to explain the truth of aikido. One must read it and practice it to understand its spirit. Below is Moriteru Ueshiba the third Doshu. Throughout the year I have the pleasure to meet the master on several occassions. It is also a joy and pleasure to be taught by the master.
The great thing about living in Japan is being able to easily visit & train at the founding dojo of several Japanese martial arts. Just the cost of a Shinkansen "bullet train ticket. Every year our school participates & schools from abroad in the biggest demonstration of the year. This is the 40th Aikido Demonstration, May 27, 2006. This picture is taken at the founding dojo after training under the master Moriteru Ueshiba.
The sock, I had a foot condition otherwise footwear is never worn. There are no color belt levels. My school doesn't emphasize such differences among the group. The only difference is black belt hakama pants and hakama pants that distinguishes the levels. More photos found on my group page.

Bodybuilding Osaka-Japan

JAPAN OSAKA MENS BODYBUILDING & FITNESS

June 11th Sunday. Most, all events are held on Sundays. Most work Mon thru Sat.
This contest is Osaka City Men's & Juniors 20 and under Bodybuilding those who qualify will compete on Aug 27th for Osaka State. This is my usual contest. Also today Ms.Kansai Fitness.

Japan is fairly in an infant stage fitness/figure. This year's amatuer fitness line up consisted of 3 courageous women. Each performed energetically and quite entertaining. Also good mix of music, basic strength moves, some flexibility moves but mostly dance. However, a good overall performance. This is the two piece judging.

The guest poser , Mr.Japan #4. He did a very good batman routine. Some of the younger kids there were a little afraid. This is one of Japan's finest.
It was a long exhausting day. Japan contests run from 10am to 4pm. Lots of introductions, speeches and long breaks!The finals are not as showy, not showy like the US contests. The audience is a little quiet but there are some loud mouths & us foreigners for added excitement. Always leave the bodybuilding contest excited because you cant see these bodies everyday on the streets of Japan.
